Summary Essential Functions
· Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service. ·
Maintain an awareness of all
promotions and advertisements. ·
Accurately and efficiently ring on
registers and accurately maintain all cash and media at the registers. ·
Communicate customer requests to
management. ·
Maintain orderly appearance of
register area and supplies stocked. ·
Prepare cash receipts for bank
deposits, prepare daily cash reports and balances the cash drawer, reconcile
cash, check, and credit card receipts daily, and investigates and resolves any
out-of-balance problems. ·
Stock items on shelves and displays in
a consistent manner according to store policies. ·
Any other tasks as assigned from time
to time by any manager. ***This list is not exhaustive. Employee is expected to carry out any other job-related
activity as requested by supervisor. ***
The qualified candidate for this
position will be a courteous, pleasant person who is able to check out customers
using the check out system in an efficient manner.
He/She will be polite, well groomed, and dressed appropriately (see
employee handbook) at all times. The
ideal candidate for this position will also be honest, energetic, responsible
and organized. He/She should be able to make quick, high quality decisions
when under pressure, and should be helpful and cooperative with all customers.

Graduation from high school with some
cashiering experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience
that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is preferred.
Otherwise, training is provided. ·
General background of clerical skills,
knowledge of bookkeeping basics, and the ability to operate office machines is
preferred. ·
Ability to work tactfully and
courteously with the public and other employees. ·
The ability to make payments and make
change accurately under pressure. ·
Good communication skills, accurate
arithmetic, and honesty are a must. ·
Ability to process
information/merchandise through register system. ·
Ability to communicate with associates
and customers. ·
Ability to read, count, and write to
accurately complete all documentation. ·
Ability to operate all equipment
necessary to perform the job. ·
Excellent work history and attendance
record. ·
Must have no criminal record relating

Must be alert and courteous all the
time. ·
Ability to maintain knowledge on all
products and current deals within the store. ·
Ability to analyze and solve problems. ·
Knowledge of cash management
principles and/or procedures. ·

Physical ability to stand for extended
periods of time. ·
Ability to move and handle boxes of
merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting, and
performing all functions as set forth above. ·
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. ·
Normal hand eye coordination.

Must be able to walk around other
employees all the time and deal with the public directly. ·
Finger dexterity required to
manipulate objects with fingers, such as using a keyboard or checkout machine. ·
Ability to see and hear within the
normal parameters. ·
Ability to perform repetitious work
accurately. ·
